What quality controls do you have?

The dresses from The GC Bridal Lounge are of the same quality you would buy in a high end store. We are able to deliver such high quality by selling predominantly online and also by keeping markups low.  High-grade fabrics are imported from all over the world and include heavy, thick textured satin, soft to the touch, with a high sheen, French lace, fine shimmering tulle and organza in customer-specified colours. Modern tridimensional tailoring takes patterns straight off the mannequin then the pattern is adjusted to customers exact measurements. High-density, elastic fish bones create structure in the garments and a flattering shape. Gowns are lined with skin-friendly, breathable fabric with neat fully-enclosed over-locked stitching. Senior tailors sew our dresses then each garment goes through a series of quality checks before it is delivered to your door.

What details should I have ready before proceeding to the check out for the purchase of my wedding dress?

We will call you to discuss what measurements you need after check out or you can note down your measurements and enter them in the box provided at checkout.  Click here for a guide on taking your body measurements. You should also decide which colour you would like your dress to be made in - white, light ivory, ivory or cream.

Will my custom, made-to-measure dress look exactly as pictured?

The sample dress on our website is the same as the dress you will receive when you order with us. The images you see on our website are real samples. The dresses have been designed in Australia. Our models and photographers are local talent. The only change, unless specified, is that it will be made to your custom measurements. 

What protection do I have buying from the GC bridal lounge?

If you buy from an overseas manufacturer you will not be protected under the Australian consumer protection laws, which regulate all retailers in Australia. The GC Bridal Lounge is Australian owned and managed and is based on the beautiful Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise. You can try on the samples, in our Surfers Paradise showroom, that you see on our website, or order directly online.

When will my dress arrive from the date of order?

Delivery on all our custom, made-to-measure dresses is under 16 weeks (from the day your order specifications are received). We then have a fitting and take care of the tailoring process through our expert local tailor. For shipments to other countries please add the extra postage time. It’s a good idea to order 6 months in advance of your wedding day, so that you can feel organised and concentrate on the other details of the wedding planning.

What are the shipping costs?

Our prices include free postage in Australia and overseas. All packages are shipped through registered post. You will need to sign and show ID to take delivery of your package. If no-one is home when the package is delivered, you will find a card in your mailbox, which you can take to the closest Australia Post office. For an extra charge we can easily organise express delivery. We also ship free of charge to other countries. Please note, if you are overseas, you are responsible for any extra customs duties and taxes. If you are outside Australia, please email for any extra detail to thegcbridallounge@gmail.com

Can you give me a price guide on express deliveries?

Australia wide - $12-$25 with full tracking and express delivery. We need a signature on delivery, so cannot deliver to a PO Box. For questions or requests please email us at thegcbridallounge@gmail.com.

International - $25-$80 with tracking and express courier .We use either door-to-door freight carrier with online tracking, or International Registered Post with online tracking, which can take between 3-10 days depending on your location. A signature is required on delivery. Import duties and taxes may be charged in some countries, for which the buyer is responsible.

What happens if my items arrive damaged?

All goods are inspected, quality assured and then packed carefully before shipping to our customers. It is very unlikely that your goods would be damaged in transit, however, if this happens contact us via email at thegcbridallounge@gmail.com within 48 hours of receiving the goods. You must attach to the email photographs of the damage. We can then remake the garments, or offer an exchange or refund.

If I want to make small adjustments to the garments, are there extra charges?

There are usually no extra fees for minor changes to any of the dresses. Please contact us by email thegcbridallounge@gmail.com or phone 0408000661 before ordering to ensure your desired change can be achieved. Some adjustments you can make are choosing a zipper or corset closure, changing the colour, adding lace straps or cap sleeves to a strapless wedding dress, shortening the hem or train, or removing embellishments. After your gown arrives we have a fitting and the gown is tailored, if needed, by our expert local tailor.  

Do you cater to plus-size brides?

We welcome plus-size or petite brides as our dresses are custom made to your measurements. Dresses over Australian size 18 are an extra $50 for the extra material needed.

How can I pay for my chosen items?

We accept PayPal, Visa or MasterCard, but our most popular option is a $300 bank transfer with the balance paid on receipt of a photograph of the completed gown or on pickup.

What is your policy on exchanges, replacements and refunds?

Customers are responsible for reading the purchase terms and conditions on this website, which applies to all purchases made from The GC Bridal Lounge. The purchase of goods from The GC Bridal Lounge signifies the buyer acceptance of the purchase terms and conditions as the conditions of their purchase. If you do not agree to these terms, do not buy any goods from The GC Bridal Lounge. Customers are entitled to an exchange, replacement or refund if the goods they receive are defective, damaged, or do not comply with the specifications of the buyer's order. 

Refunds on custom made and custom, made-to-measure wedding dresses are offered at management's discretion. A very small, easily fixable fault is not considered sufficient grounds for a refund, however a discount may be granted to cover the tailoring costs to fix the small fault. Management will consider each case individually, and will work with the customer to resolve and remedy any problems that may arise. Customers are responsible for providing The GC Bridal Lounge with accurate measurements and specifications for custom, made-to-measure gowns. The GC Bridal Lounge does not manufacture, nor guarantee, that any custom-made dresses created from photos or pictures supplied by the customer, will be exact replicas of the dresses depicted in those photos. We will closely follow the design and instructions provided by the customer, however, it is probable that slight variations will result in the finished garment and materials, particularly lace.

All goods are inspected for damage or defects prior to shipment and we do not intentionally dispatch damaged or defective goods to our customers. If you receive any goods from us that are damaged or defective, or if the goods do not comply with the specifications of your order, please send us an email explaining the problem within 48 hours of receipt of the goods, with photographs of the problem. All notifications received are attended to and resolved on an individual basis. No exchanges, replacements or refunds will be considered if notification is not received within 48 hours of receipt of the goods, or if the goods have been worn or show evidence of wear. Returns will not be accepted without a Return Authorisation Number. Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage and ensuring the safe return of goods to The GC Bridal Lounge.

If you order any item from The GC Bridal Lounge which has become unavailable and your order cannot be fulfilled within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a replacement item of equal value or a refund. In line with prevailing Australian consumer legislation, The GC Bridal Lounge does not offer exchanges, replacements or refunds on any goods if you change your mind for any reason with no exceptions. Please choose carefully as all sales are final and subject to the conditions outlined in the purchase terms and conditions on this website.
