Jack + Ariana in her customized dream gown

Ariana and Jack’s wedding photos take our breath away. These moody images evoke so much emotion and remind us why we are so privileged to play a small part in preparing for this day of all days.
Ariana worked with our designer Kate Gubanyi to customize our Paradise gown and create her own dream dress.

The sleeves on this couture gown were completed at fitting stage and extra design details were added to achieve a perfect fit for Ariana.
Our designer Kate says this gown and these images illustrate how confident and comfortable a bride can feel in a gown that is perfectly fitted and is made with comfortable fabrics that allow her to move freely.
“Our stretch cotton underlay is so breathable and form fitting while providing an unprecedented level of support,” she said.

“You can really see how comfortable and able to move Ariana is and I think that contributes to her glowing confidence.”

Here is more about Ariana’s big day:

What was your favorite wedding moment?
Ariana: Arriving at the end of the aisle to Jack. He looked so handsome and it felt really intimate, like it was just him and I. It felt like such a relief to finally be there, and be getting married after this year of stress and unknowns.
Jack: Our first dance. Despite the thunderstorm earlier, we did it outside in drizzling rain, with everyone around us in a circle with sparklers. We had practiced the dance for months, and we executed it perfectly! It was an intimate moment, where I just held Ariana and in that moment, there was nowhere else I would have rather been than with the love of my life.
How did you feel in your gown?
Kate’s gown fit like a glove! The sleeves were custom made by hand to fit perfectly, and I could still enjoy the day and freely move around. I remember putting it on the morning of, seeing myself in the mirror, and thinking to myself “yep, this is my dream dress”. I felt so supported by Kate, Mel and especially Felicia who did all of my alterations to perfection!!
Describe your day:
Our wedding was the opposite of what most weddings are. When we started planning, Jack said “I don’t want anyone at my wedding that won’t be there for my marriage (Chance the Rapper)”. We decided then to have a small intimate ceremony at Weddings at Tiffany’s (70 people). We then had a huge party in the evening. That was cocktail style and no seating plan (120 people). We wanted everyone to feel included and keep the energy in the room with people always moving around and having conversation. Our theme was classic and timeless. I wanted to look back on our day and not think to myself “wow that was so 2021, why did I do that” haha.

What are your words of wisdom for future brides?
Plan ahead, and know that it’s not going to be exactly what you want. Tell your close friends and family your ideas and visions for the day, and trust them to make it happen. Or get a wedding planner. There was so much behind the scene work that people did for us on the day, that helped me to enjoy being present and everything worked out in the end; despite the thunderstorm, power outage, 2 hour pizza delay and lost getaway car keys…

What was the funniest moment?
When we were outside our reception venue, waiting to be announced as bride and groom and walk in, the rain started pouring! We had to hug right against the door to stop ourselves from getting wet! When we were announced, we finally walked in with smiles of relief and sat on our peacock chairs. Then, only 30 seconds later, the power went out in the entire room. We laughed and laughed and there was so much commotion and screaming, and Jack and I were in stitches. After what felt like too long, maybe 1 minute, it came back on. It was miraculous but made for a good story.
