Pure and simple, the latest bridal trend I am finding is the search for a plain wedding dress.

While there are still a lot of girls looking for beautiful lace and beading, many of my customers don't want a gown that is overly embellished. A look that can sometimes go into tacky territory.

A plain wedding dress can still have lovely subtle detail, like gorgeous French lace, but it's more detail that you would notice when you look closer.

An example of a plain wedding dress is our Olivia wedding gown (above), which features French lace overlay in a wearable fit and flare style.

The biggest requirements with plain dresses is that they flatter the figure and are easy to wear.

Fit and flare gowns are sought after and a lot of brides are taking out the petticoat or stiff tulle netting to make the dresses more wearable.

A gown that has frills, as well as beading, as well as lace can look over the top and can even make the wearer look larger, whereas something more plain can increase the slimming factor.
